Anatomicals - Cheese Release Me!

Prosuct : Anatomicals - Cheese Release Me Foot cream.
Available From : Beauty Counter Direct and the Anatomicals website.
Price : £3.00

So, I have been trying the Anatomicals - Cheese Release Me Foot cream for the past few weeks. My first reactions were good and I had a really good giggle at the name of it "Cheese Release Me!"

The Website says this ....

“i love you with the ferocity of an exploding thousand megaton nuclear bomb”. “your eyes are like deep pools I could jump naked into and save you from drowning”. “ you are my rock, my pebble, my grain of sand on the beach of life where I dream of us walking hand in hand forever”. if you think these lines are cheesy, take your shoes off after a hard day of being on your feet and you’ll then know exactly why you need this ultra cooling, refreshing, soothing and deodorising cream. some new tights or socks wouldn’t hurt either.

So Quirky! - I love the whole brand personality and all of the products sound great.
This cream came at the ideal time, just before I was going on holiday for a week. The weather while I was away was scorching and I spent most of my time walking all day, every day.

So, after a long day out in the heat I couldn't wait to get back to my hotel room and try this out! I showered and got this cream out to try. The consistency is pretty nice, it isn't too thick or thin and it rubs into the skin easily. It has a lovely fresh minty scent to it and as I applied it I felt a light cooling sensation which was soothing. It also felt very moisturising and left my feet feeling completely smooth and free of any dry skin patches. The scent also lasted on the feet and was really pleasant! So if you have stinky feet (luckily, I don't) I should think it will eliminate the stinkiness! It didn't take too long to soak in either, which impressed me as some creams leave you feeling slippery for ages afterwards. I would say it had soaked in within 5 minutes!

So, I would definitely recommend this cream for tired achy and dry tootsies. It feels so nice to apply this after a long day on your feet.

So go on, why not give your feet a treat?! :-)

Elf Mineral Eyeshadows!

I was lucky enough to have won a mineral elf eyeshadow on youtube last week, and I chose the colour Partier :

Well, I am SO impressed! They are amazing quality! Well, this one is, I don't have anymore, yet! .. I chose the colour 'Partier' (Shown in picture) It is an almost Matte grey/silver colour, It only has a tiny bit of shimmer to it.

You get a whopping 0.9g for just £2.50 which is such a bargain. As soon as I received this I wanted to use it, So I put it in my crease with a simple wash of white over my lid :

I really like it, the pigmentation is awesome (Did I already say that?) and it blended like a dream with my MAC 224. I definetely want more of these shadows now! They have quite a nice colour range too, which you can check out here.

Let me know if you have tried these and which colours you love? :)

(Oh and excuse the mascara on lashline in the picture *damn you bad gal lash!*

Claires Rainbow Palette

This palette is just like the palette you can get from Beauty UK from Superdrug, But I got mine in Claire's about a year ago and I think it was about £3.

For the price they are really good eye shadows, the pigmentation is good and they apply well, The only downside is that they are a little powdery, as you can see here:

I have done many looks using this palette and just love it, it's nice and small so ideal for traveling with and so many different looks can be created with it.

Have you tried any of the Claire's or Beauty UK Palettes? I most definitely want to try more. You can't grumble at £3! :)

Schwarzkopf Osis Design Mix

I always used to dye my hair with Schwarzkopf hair colours and loved the outcome, So when I was offered the chance to review some of the Osis Design Mix products I said a definite yes!

I always loves to play with my hair and see what new styles I can come up with (It must come from the year and a half I spent at college doing hair!) .. You will see from most of my videos that I normally have my hair up, that is because it is difficult to manage (very thick and curly/frizzy) and I can't be bothered with it! - But receiving these made that change, I wanted to try them and make the effort, and I am glad I did because I think it has got me out of that rut.

The packaging is really modern and sassy and packed full of product. I love the fact that you can just dip into the pot and control how much you use too. Oh, and the scent on them all is gorgeous.

This is what the website says ..

"With the new OSiS Design Mix you can experience six new and innovative products that let you experience great hairstyles. Just go by the names of the products and create stunning looks:

GLOSS to MATT
SMOOTH to ROUGH
LIGHT to STRONG

…and if that is not enough for you: these 6 contradictive products have been specially developed and tested to be perfectly intermixable. So go ahead and become your own hair-designer with the new OSiS Design Mix!"

So I decided to go for GLOSS, SMOOTH and STRONG as they were the ones that most appealed to me and my hair type.

SMOOTH : Smoothing cream for silky, smooth finish and lasting frizz control

The smooth was the first one I used because it is said to have frizz control and can be used as a blow drying or a finishing cream which I thought was excellent. Now, I am not one for blow drying my hair, because it is so frizzy and it just gets worse if I use too much heat. So I decided to apply this to my damp hair and just left it to dry naturally... Well, what can I say? It dried so nicely! My hair had dried into luscious separated smooth and shiny curls, It felt amazing look really nice too! ..

Results:

Nice huh? I loved it, and it lasted for about 3 days, too! :)

GLOSS : Fibrous glossing balm for lustrous shine

That leads me nicely onto the gloss! .. This is a fibrous balm with macadamia nut oil in it, It smells absolutely gorgeous, definitely my fave of the lot, although they all smell lovely. I used this after straightening my hair to add shine. The smallest amount is all you need for a full head (and I have loads of hair). I just tipped my head upside down and ran my palms and fingers through it. The results were lovely, I had a natural looking glossy mane, Lovely! I will definitely carry on using this after straightening from now on!

STRONG : Crushed ice gel, great for separation and texture

Upon opening this I was like *wow!* It is a lovely orange colour, and again smells so good. I was a little lost at to what to use this for, because I don't use gels normally, but I decided to try it out for a hair pouf (quiffy thing on top of my head?) I just took the tiniest amount, ran it through said piece of hair and styled it, It held well and when I took it out I didn't have a hard crunchy feeling on my hair that I have had with other gels. It kind of felt like I could restyle it and it would hold again. I honestly think this would be a fab product for someone with a shorter more layered style too, it holds style really well and is re workable!

.. So there you have it, all in all 3 lovely products, I think my favorite is Smooth, just because I can used it on wet and dry hair. But remember, you can use these in conjunction with each other without over loading the hair, So why not give them a try?

Schwarzkopf Osis Design Mix is Available from The Shampoo Shop.

Dove Hair Minimising Deodorant

Dove Hair Minimising Deodorant - Wild Rose Scent.
Available from all good chemists (Boots, Superdrug) for approximately £2-£3.

"Dove Wild Rose Hair Minimising Anti-Perspirant is a 24 hour anti perspirant deodorant which minimises underarm hair growth and which has 0% alcohol and 1/4 moisturising cream."

I have been using Dove deodorants for a long time because I love how they feel and last, I have always loved their soaps, self tanner and shower gels and shampoos too, So I was more than happy to accept when I was offered to try out the new hair minimising deodorant that Dove were offering.

I am quite fussy with my scents and some can really irritate me but the wild rose scent is a really nice smell. However, it is quite a strong scent so if you don't like that sort of thing then you should try the fragrance free one (I am 90% sure I saw that they did one with no scent too).

When I first started using it I remember wondering what the pleasant smell was, half way through my day, and it was the deodorant! Normally I carry my deodorant with me and top it up during the day, but with this I didn't need to, It really did last for my whole day - (I can't say if it lasted 24 hours because I am never active for 24 hrs straight!)

I was slightly sceptical that my underarm hair would change at all through using this product, but it really has! I noticed after 10 days or so that it had become much softer and much easier to remove, I wouldn't say the change is miraculous, but it is there. It's not so much that you could get away without shaving them as at all but you could definitely skip the odd day here and there. (I do still have another can of this to go, so I will report back if there is any further change.)

So I have to say all in all that this deodorant is another product from dove that gets a thumbs up from me, I love the scent, and I love how it lasts!

Definite WINNER! :)

The London Barry M Event

Gosh, I have been slacking so much recently and have been needing to do this post for ages, My write up for the Barry M event on the 20th May.

Today is that day! Yay! :)

So I got the train, after a major morning rush and I had no troubles or delays with my travel, Becky (Sirvinya) also ended up getting on my train midway through the journey because one of her trains was canceled, so we had a natter for the rest of the journey.

So, after meeting up with a few girls we made our way to the club. The Event took place at a gorgeous venue called Madame Jojo's on Soho, It was a small but lovely burlesque style bar and is totally my type of club.

It was decorated really nicely and there were some amazing little cupcakes and other food laid on for us. Unfortunately I never had a cupcake (unlike me!) .. We all god sat down and listened as some people behind Barry M spoke to us about the M Club, which is a part of their website.

Well, basically the M club is going to become a Facebook type site, for makeup addicts! Users will be able to create profiles, share videos, chat in the forum and much much more, it sounds like it is going to be really useful, and such a good way to get yourself out there and noticed.

We also had a short speech from Barry M himself who told us all how he started out and told us a bit about the company, He was a lovely man, so fully of cheer and smiley. I had a picture with him too :

They also wanted to show us the launch of their new Television advert before it was shown on the TV, It is the first time Barry M have advertised on TV and I think it is a really good idea. We saw a video about how the as was made and we were also shown the new advert, exclusively. It aired the following dat, May 21st during the Hollyoaks ad break. It is an amazing advert and it just screams 'Colour!' At me, which is Barry M to me, nice and colourful. You can see the ad, here :

Half way into the party they held a small colour competitions where five girls volunteered to have a makeover and five others did the makeup, I had Becky do mine for me and it was so much fun! She gave me a bright pink and purple look and I requested that she sprinkle me in lots of glitter, which she did. It was FAB party makeup!

Before the event ended we were all lucky enough to be given an amazing goodie bag each. Barry M were Uber generous and the bag was full of lovely things, nail paints, lip paints, dazzle dusts, bronzer, lip gloss and more! I will be reviewing a few of the items soon, so look out for that!

Once we all left we had a bit of a wander around and a bite to eat, I ended up with Becky, Jasmine, Natalya and Caroline but then I decided to go to the station to see if I could get an earlier train, I couldn't and so had a three hour wait! Luckily I wasn't alone as Kelly (Happy1234) was waiting around too, so we had a chat and a drink while we waited.

So, all in all a really nice, but tiring day. I never got to speak to half of the people I wanted to, but I had a fab time and Barry M were so kind for inviting me.
