Dr.OlenGin Skincare.

As a beauty blogger I sometimes stray from my favourite skicare products that I'm happy with, just to try out other new products to see what I might like. I was recently contacted by Dr.OlenGin asking me if I would like to try some of their products. I look at their site and liked the idea of it being based on the dead sea and full of minerals that are good for your skin.

So for the past 7 weeks or so I have been using these products and really enjoying them. The packaging of the products it clean and simple and I love the glass jars for the cream. The scent for them all is a very subtle, fresh scent. It almost smells like the sea with a light fragrance added. I really enjoy the smell when I apply them to my skin.

Magic Mineral Nourishing Night Cream:
This is a rich, luxurious cream which is the perfect night time cream because it feels so hydrating and it always gives me a soft plump feeling when I wake up.  It soaks in quickly for such a thick cream and it doesn't leave any greasy feeling residue. It didn't bother my skin atall.

Magic Mineral Moisturizing Cream:
Another nice product that gives my skin a nice boost in hydration. This cream is almost gel like, it feels soothing when you apply it and it sinks in quickly leaving a good base for makeup to be applied to. The smallest amount of this spreads a long way too.

Facial Toner:
I have to say, I never thought a toner would be the stand out product for me, but this totally is. It is the least offensive toner I have ever used, it doesn't dry the skin out ATALL! Normally my skin feels so dry after toning but this makes my skin feel soft and moisturized, fresh and squeaky clean and it smells slightly different to the creams, but amazing! This really stood out to me.

Cutey // Shamballa Bracelets.

Shamballa bracelets. I think they are gorgeous.. I didn't know much about them, other than they looked so pretty and eye catching when I was seeing celebs and reality starts wearing them about a year ago.. My Mum also loved them, so much so that she wanted one for Christmas.. I bought her one from a jewelry shop and it was considerably more pricy that these two gems that I was recently sent from a website called Cutey.

I have the White Shamballa Bracelet and the Multi Coloured Shamballa Bracelet. They are both gorgeous. The quality of these is excellent, they feel sturdy and are made of strong thread. It takes a while to loosen the thread up enough to be able to put them on yourself, but I got there after a few tries. I'd say they will fit anyone too, I'm in no way a slim girl and they fit me just fine.

How much?  These are just £18.99 with free delivery (to the UK). I love them, they are beautiful and very eye catching.. My pictures really don't do the sparkle they have justice, but take my word for it, the stones sparkle so nicely in the light. I've had numerous people ask where they're from in the past week, the multicolour one especially. The white is great with everything though, because it just looks like sparkly silver.. It is practically identical to the one I got for my Mum last Christmas.

The customer service for the site is great, these arrived within a couple of days and I've been wearing them since.  You can see these and the other Shamballa Bracelets Cutey sell here. They also have Pandora-esque Charm bracelets too.

Cutey are also on Twitter and Faceook. Follow them, they have the odd giveaway!

Look Beauty - Limited Edition - Cool Brittania!

How well are TeamGB doing in this years Olympics? Amazing! This is the first Olympics I've properly taken notice of, and I have gotten right into it.

Today's Nails Of The Day were done with the Limited Edition 'Cool Brittania'* Glitter Polish that Look Beauty released to celebrate the London 2012 Olympics.

It's packed full of red, blue and silver/white sparkle that is fully opaque within two coats. It's very fine glitter, but does feel slightly gritty on the nails, so I would suggest a topcoat to smooth that out. It looks amazing though and sparkles so much when it catches the light .. It wasn't as much of a mare to remove as I expected either. Yay for that!

Check it out here, It's only a fiver!

The Hottie Tottie Is Never Spotty.

Skincare is a funny one for me. I have products that I love and know I should stick to, but I often find myself straying, seeing if there is anything better, anything else that impresses me. I've recently been trying the Anatomicals Hottie Tottie* range.. If you have been a reader for a while you will know I love the Anatomicals brand. I love it's quirky marketing and snazzy packaging so much.

The packaging for these products, as you can see, is brilliantly eye catching. I love the bright pink and yellow, and the quirky names too. Anatomicals have such fun branding. The scent of these products is fruity, but not overpowering whatsoever, which I was glad of. I always feel wary of skincare that is strongly perfumed.

I've been trying the whole range for a good month or so, and here are my thoughts..

Blitz Pores & Phwoars! Shine Free Moisturiser - £3.99.
Featuring a light formula, this shine free moisturiser leaves the skin feeling soft and hydrated with a fresh subtle scent.
This is one of the standouts for me. I find it hard to find a moisturiser I like. This one sinks in quickly and doesn't leave any greasy feel on my skin, and it does actually do a great job of keeping my oily skin shine free throughout the day.
Here Zitty Zitty Daily Face Scrub - £4.00.
Featuring a light formula, this exfoliating scrub leaves the skin feeling soft and cleansed with a fresh subtle scent. For best results use twice daily.
I didn't use this twice daily, I feel using something to exfoliate twice in my day is a little much, and I do always use my clarisonic in the evenings. I use this in the morning before my makeup. It is very gentle and it leaves my skin feeling hydrated and very soft. I do prefer a harsher exfoliant like St Ives more though.
Blitz Your Zitz To Bitz - £3.99.
Featuring a light formula, this moisturising face wash leaves the skin feeling soft and cleansed with a fresh subtle scent. For best results use twice daily.
I've been using this with my clarisonic. It lathers nicelys and leaves my face feeling smooth and cleansed without any dryness afterwards. I was worried my skin might react badly to the face washes, but these products are completely innoffensive in scent and have been very gentle on my skin.
Easy Peasy No Squeezy Spot Roll On Treatment - £3.99.
Featuring a non-sticky formula with salicylic acid, this spot treatment actively targets spots and blemishes while purifying pores. Easily absorbed, just apply to the affected area with the roller ball nozzle.
Along with the moisturiser this is my favourite and I would repurchase. It's really easy to use, great to pop in your bag when you are out and about too. If I feel a new spot on my face I like to apply this before bed and let it work overnight - it takes them down oand stops them from becoming as bad as they might have done. I love products like this, especially on my spot prone skin!

All in all I love the range, the packaging, the gentleness of the products and the great price. You can purchase Anatomicals online at ASOS & in Superdrug.

Monday Questions. August 6th 2012.

I saw this on Amarixe's blog and thought I would do it too. You can see her post here!

1.) Mood:
I'm okay. Quite happy all things considered.

2.) Can you say the ABC's backwards without stumbling?
No. I don't think I've ever tried completely, but I am sure it's a no!

3.) What is the closest green object to you?
I am currently glancing around and not seeing any green. Haha! Umm.. *Still looking* Oh, a pen pot, housing some pens, on my desk!

4.) Current nail polish:
I'm currently bare nailed. It's rare for me but I have been all weekend, I thought I'd give my nails a little break. I'm itching to paint them again though.

5.) What is your favorite song at the moment?
That's hard for me. I have a huge spotify playlist full of songs I love. I'm enjoying Little Mix - Wings though.

6.) Current outfit:
I'm in my PJ's already. I just had a shower and got into fresh snuggly PJ's. They're black with a pink lace trim.  (18:53pm)

7.) What coverage of foundation do you prefer most: light, medium, full, or none at all?
I'm a medium girl. I like light, but only if my skin is really good which is very rare for me. Today I have been trying out the new GOSH BB Cream. Review soon!

8.) What color are the walls of your bedroom?

Pastel Blue with a darker sky blue accent shade.

9.) What is your zodiac sign?  Do you think its characteristics represent you?
I'm a Sagittarius and I don't know. I'ma go google the characteristics....  Okay.. See here. I think it's accurate. I am honest (too much sometimes), I look on the bright side (mostly) and I love to travel.

10.) Weekly goals:

To remain positive and prepare/pack for visiting my Mum next week. I haven't seen her since Feb!

Here's a cute picture to end. So true..

All About Eyes.. Japonesque.

I've only ever tried a few brushes from Japonesque before, all of which I really liked. Recently I tried these products that were sent to me for review. I got a heated lash curler, some outer corner lashes and a liner brush.

First I'll talk about the Pro Eyeliner Brush (£10.50) - I don't like it. I can't get along with it. It's stiff, I find it hard to use. Grr! .. I don't think it's the brushes fault, I've tried brushes like this before and I just fail at using them.I hate how they are super stiff and I just make a mess of my eyeliner when I attempt to use it. It's a nice, well made brush, but I cannot use it.

The Heated Mini Lash Curler (£12.50) - This terrified me to start with. I've read horror stories about heated lash curlers in the past and was scared I would have a disaster. I was worrying about nothing though, there are small, don't get too hot, and don't expose your actual eye to any danger. It says you can use it before or after mascara.. I'd say afterwards for sure, this did nothing for me before mascara, but it does give them a nice lift if I use it after. It's great to throw in your day-to-day makeup bag to give your lashes a boost.

Finally, The Demi Flair Lashes for the outer corners - I love outer corner lashes, they are the easiest to use. These are really pretty and give the eye and elongated cat eye look. The band was a little stiff to start, but I worked with it and they always loosen up eventually. They are great quality lashes and if you look after them can be used numerous times. I'll feature them in a makeup look soon.

Japonesque is available at HQHair.

Festival GLOSSYBOX: July.

This months GLOSSYBOX* is one worth mentioning and is full of some lovely goodies that would be perfect for Summer (If we got one!) or Festivals.. Or any other time really.

I never even posted about last months fail .. er, not so great box. I didn't see a need for me to add my opinion to hundreds of other negative posts about it. It was probably one of the worst for me though.

Anyway, they made up for it this month. I am happy with everything in the box.

I've never tried Kryolan, but this eyeshadow is so pretty, although I think I'll use it as a blush/highlighter because of the peachy shade. The Monu calming cream is green and great for redness. Just a tiny bit dabbed on the skin takes it right down. I'm super happy with that. The sea salt spray is cool, I've been using one from Fudge for a while and I like the effect they give. This is a cute size for travel. The collagen gel is very expensive for full size! I used it the other day and it did make my skin feel plump and very smooth, and it felt luxurious to use. But I don't ever want to fall too much in love with something that I could never afford a full size of. It's nice to try some real luxury products though. The Jelly Pong Pong lip gloss is delish! It smells and tastes lovely and it a bright pinky shade. I'm really happy with it.

This months box is definitely way worth more than the £10 (+ P&P) that you pay. You can subscribe to Glossybox here.
