Some Beauty Skincare Favourites..

I pretty much constantly try new skincare products, but mostly tend to go back to some of my old favourites, so I thought I would do a post about some of my top must have skincare products today!

I'd be interested to know some of your must haves, so do let me know in the comments.

Vaseline Rosy Lips: This is my go to lipbalm! I use it daily, morning and night, and during the day if I need it. It smells lightly rosy, has a slight rose tint to it. It keeps my lips soft and hydrated.

Liz Earle Light Moisturiser: Definitely my favourite moisturiser. It is perfect for my oily skin. It's light, it sinks in quickly, it hydrates my skin, it smells lush and a little goes a long way. This is my number one moisturiser.

Avene Soothing Hydrating Serum*: I don't have sensitive, or overly dry skin (except for some patches), but I love using this. It's a recent addition and I'm really into serums at the moment. I like this because it's non scented and really hydrating. It brightens my skin and leaves it feeling lovely and smooth.

The Balm Vegan Lip Treatment*: I've had this for ages, it's the size of a powder compact, and is excellent! I use this when my lips really need some exfoliation. It has tiny particles in it that leave my lips feeling all plump and ready for the mattest of lipsticks. I couldn't be without it.

Garnier Spot Rollon: This is something I always repurchase. I don't have the best skin (atall!) and when I have a spot that decides to reside on my face, this stuff helps to take it down quicker, and instantly soothes it for me. Winner!

Skin Wisdom Beauty Balm: Ahh, my little Tesco treasure! This is said to be very similar to the Clarins Flash Balm (I think that's it's name) .. It's a balm that just brightens the comlexion and soothes the skin, leaving it feeling fresh and lovely. It really works!

Boots Botanics Eye Makeup Remover: There was so much hype on the blogosphere about this that I had to try it. That was a couple of years ago now, and many bottles later it is an absolute staple. It's an oil based remover that gets rid of everything, even the toughest mascara. A must have!

Natural High Brightening Eye Cream: I have been using this for years and swear by it. It was a random discovery in superdrug and is really inexpensive. I like it because it actually does brighten and you feel like it actually does something when you apply it. It feels cooling and really makes me look awake when I'm not atall.

These are just some of my must haves.  Are any of these yours too?

Maybelline 'Plum' Dream Touch Blusher.

For months and months I used to always admire the Maybelline Dream Touch Blushers on the stands in Boots and Superdrug, but I never got one, even though I really wanted one. Then, when I was at my Mum's I saw that my sister had one.. It was my chance to try it out, and it was love at first use. I got one for myself straight away.

This is a lovely creamy texture that is so smooth and blendable, it dries to a soft finish that you can't even feel on your skin. It has really good pigmentation and the smallest amount goes a long way. I love to stipple this on and blend it out with the Sigma version of the MAC 188 brush. It blends in with my foundation and gives a really naturally flushed look.

They have a good shade range, and my sister has the peach one which I think Jlo was known to wear when they first came out.. I want that shade, and some others too. These are one of the nicest, long lasting cream blushes that I have tried so far.. (I am quite new to cream blush!) and I love it.

Do you own any of these blushers? What do you think of them?

L'Occitane Limited Edition Pivoine Delicate Collection‏.

"The Peony collection contains a peony extract from the south of France (Drôme). What makes the fragrance of the peony so distinctive is its lingering freshness, an almost rustic scent like freshly cut grass. We've fallen in love with the peony in all its incarnations."
I recently got these new limited edition products from L'Occitaine* and fell in love! They smell amazing, and are perfectly scented for spring summer, and they have the most beautiful packaging.

Boots No7 Beautiful Skin BB Cream.

I recently did a review on my youtube of the new-ish No7 BB Cream from Boots. Mine is for normal to oily skin (I am oily) and I have been quite impressed with it. It gives an even medium coverage and a nice dewy finish.

Keeping it sanitary. Milton Maximum Protection.

Keeping things sanitary. Important right? It is to me. I am OCD about my hands and always, always carry hand gels with me. I hate the idea of touching railings and things in public that any Tom, Dick, or Harry could have touched, and who knows where his grubby mitts may have been?

The Milton Hand Gel* is great. It leaves my hands feeling clean and fresh, it sinks in quickly and doesn't leave a stick residue like some I have tried. It doesn't dry my hands out either, which can sometimes be a problem because of the alcohol in the sanitisers, then I end up piling on hand cream too.

The Milton Surface Wipes* have been far more useful than I even thought. They are great for so many things! I mostly use them in my makeup area, to wipe down grubby packaging, to clean my mirror and dressing table, and even sometimes I've spot cleaned a makeup brush on it (I don't know if this is allowed though!). They really are multi use, and great for anything that you want to wipe clean basically. Simples!

Check Milton Products out here. They sell a whole range of things to keep yourself and your home as sanitary as possible.

Colourful Easter Nails.

What do you think..  Fun or garish?

I had a sudden urge yesterday to paint my nails bright and crazy and thought I would go for something Easter-ish. I don't know what makes them anything to do with easter, but they are bright and eye catching and painted with pastel shades. They're not perfect up close, but I do really like them! I used to be addicted to nailart, but got out of the habit for so long. I want to get back into that, I just have such little patience waiting for them to dry.

I first applied two coats of Flamingo, then dotted with lilac and lemon sherbert, and on my thumbs I used lilac all over, and dotted with the others. I used a dotting tool from ebay, but you can use an orange stick or a cocktail stick, it's so simple!

Have a great Easter weekend all!

Liquid Liner Loving - Barry M Wink Eyeliner.

I love liquid eyeliner, for me it is a must have and completes a look for me. I seem to have gotten a bit of an obsession with these felt tip pen liquid eyeliners recently, and when I saw this 'Wink Marker' from Barry M I couldn't resist.. Even though I have a couple of pen liners in my back up that are currently unopened! What can I say? I'm a makeup addict!

"Barry M’s Wink is a liquid eyeliner pen that is set to revolutionise your makeup routine. The thick felt tip nib enables you to achieve varying thickness by adjusting the pressure and the angle of the pen, giving you a professional look."
The packaging is funky and bright, and just like a jumbo sized pen, the nib on the liner is a little bigger than I am used to but it's quite soft and the very tip has some flexibility so it's nice and easy to use. The pigmentation is very good, the liner is very black and dries quickly. It's not waterproof though, I'm used to liners that are not easy to remove, and this is.. but I don't mind that, it lasts all day on me and doesn't smudge or budge.

Have you tried this eyeliner, do you like it? I give it a big thumbs up, I love it!

You can buy this at Boots for £4.59.
