Pictures, Make-up Practice and other stuff!

This entry is a random post, I have some pics I wanted to post of some various looks that I meant to post as FOTD's and never made it to video, not yet anyway.

First off, I've been practicing the cut crease look, How am I doing?

Secondly, Me and my boyfriend went out last Thursday to a friends for a meal, and this was the look I did. I like how it came out and even my BF commented, and the friends we were visiting too. (I like when that happens!)

Then, on Friday we went out for some birthday drinks for my BF, with his sister and her husband, and this was my look. Pretty bright, but I like colorful!

And a silly pic of me in my dressing gown being a tw*t !

... Yeahhhhhh.. whatever!

The new fringe, or bangs!

I was bored, and wanted to do something with my hair, I am not brave enough to drastically cut it, I need my mum to do that (She is a hairdresser!) .. So I got out my scissors and gave myself some side bangs, nothing drastic really, but I think it has improved how my hair looks.. At least now when I tie it up I have some hair framing my face, and when it is down and straight it looks nice too.

Here is a pic :

What do you think? (No comments needed about the goonish face!)

FOTD: 25 Nov 08 - Blue/Brown

I think I am gonna start posting the occasional FOTD here, why the hell not? It gives people something to look at and read, if they wish, and me something to go back on!

So, my look for today is this :

I did this using the Revlon 'Out of the blue' palette I got off eBay. They are illuminating eyeshadows, and are really nice to work with and very blendable.

I used all four colours on top of a black base

Hello Kitty MAC Collection

SO, most of you have probably seen this elsewhere, but I don't care, I want to show you too!..

The new Hello Kitty collection for MAC (Due out in US in Feb) Looks AMAZING! Does anyone know when it is due in the UK? Cos I want me some of it!

You can click here for information on the two collection and what will be included and how it will be packaged.

But seriously, oh my gosh, it all looks sooo cute! I want it all, just hope I have a decent job and some cash when it is released here. (Keep your fingers crossed) xxxx

Things I want to try : Boots No7 Shine Free Make-up Base.

I really want to try this!!

It is a base you apply before your make-up, a primer, and it apparently stops your skin feeling oil and looking shiny, which I suffer from a bit too much.. Although the St Ives Facial Scrub I purchased has minimised it a lot.

The website says this :

Keep shiny skin under control all day long, with No7 Shine Free Make-Up Base. The mattifying oil-free base has light-reflecting particles which help disguise fine lines and flaws

That, to me, sounds wonderful - That is if it works. I think I will purchase this at some point and give it a go because if it does what it says it will, I will be a very happy girlie!

Anyone out there tried this? opinions please.

St Ives Apricot Scrub

I have been reading reviews on this product for while now and have heard nothing bad about it what so ever, I wanted so desperately to try it and when I saw it on offer I snapped it up.

I chose the 'Apricot Scrub Blemish Fighting' and I could not wait to use it.

The website says this about it :

St. Ives® Blemish Fighting Scrub effectively lifts away surface oils, dirt and dead skin cells that can lead to blackheads and blemishes. 100% natural exfoliants and Salicylic Acid fight blemishes, revealing clearer looking skin.
Dermatologist Tested
Contains Vitamin-rich Apricot extract
Salicylic Acid
Swiss glacial water
Nourishing Swiss botanicals

Well, I used it when I had a shower that very evening. I dampened my face and beck, and massaged some of the scrub in. The particles feel strange but if you rub softly it isn't too bad, and avoid the eye area, as that is sensitive, obviously.

I left it on while I rinsed my hair, and then washed it off.

WOW! When I was out of the shower and patted my face dry it felt absolutely amazing, it seriously did. It felt smooth, it looked radiant and fresh, even more even, more blemish free, and not oily!

I really noticed that much of a difference after one use. I used it again today and again I loved it loads, It makes my skin feel amazing - and I have never had amazing skin!

It is nice and easy to apply, It doesn't smell bad, you don't need much, It is in a nice tube and you get loads.

I paid £1.92 at Tesco for 150ml bottle, which I am sure will last me a while as I won't be using it daily, dues to the exfoliation thing, I don't think it is good to over exfoliate.

When I have run out of it, I will deffo be buying it again and I am very keen to try some more St Ives products, they have a wide range, and Christmas is coming! *teehee* You can see the website here.

Look Of The Day

I did this look earlier today, and was VERY annoyed again when my camera messed it up.. The thing is, I realised this after I had finished my eyes!

But I recorded from then onwards and explained what I did.. If anyone actually wants a full tutorial on it after seeing it, I may do one.

I use Urban Decay E/S - Last Call (Love this) And Zero, amongst others. All will be listed in the video when it is uploaded.

Here is the look :

A big surprise! :)

Just a note, before I write this blog. I am a big fan of Jimmy Carr, the comedian and when I heard he was coming to Leeds on his tour this year I really wanted to get tickets and go, but we couldn't afford it.

- - - - -

So, for the past few weeks my boyfriend has been acting a little strange, secretive even, but nothing that I was worried about.

Yesterday was Sunday - Normally on a Sunday he goes to his parents house for tea, without fail, But a few days ago he had told me he wasn't going this week as his sister was going to be there. He said we could go out for a meal for a change because he would like to take me out. I thought this was so sweet and I was like 'Yeah, OK.'

Yesterday came, it was wet and dull and I suggested we stayed in and had a takeaway but he was set on the idea of going into town for a meal, saying that he really wanted to treat me. So I said OK, and I was pleased.

So, we got ready, got a bus into town, in the pouring rain, I was a little 'blagh' because of the weather, but happy enough. We got to the bar where we were going for a meal and some drinks and sat down to look at the menu. We got drinks and ordered our food and he said something to me about how I said he was bad at keeping secrets (I had done in the past, jokingly) He said I was disrespectful and bad for thinking that about him (All of this was said with a smile). I was like 'Ok.... What is happening here' ..

Anyway, he then said something about how Jimmy Carr had been touring in Leeds, and I was like 'Yeah, he was here last week I think.' - He said 'No, He is here tonight... So don't tell me I can't keep a secret, because I have tickets for us to go to his show!' .. He pulled two tickets from his wallet and passed them to me.

OH MY GOD, I was absolutely STUNNED, I honestly had no idea what so ever that he was gonna spring that on me.
I was so chuffed with him, I was almost crying. I apologised for telling him he can't keep a secret, because he SO can! And I had a permanent grin on my face all night.

We went to his late showing at 21.45pm and it was AMAZING, we laughed so much and had an awesome time. I don't think anybody has ever surprised me like that, and it was great.

I am still shocked now, because I really had no clue that was coming at all. I had been disappointed knowing I couldn't go and that it was a sell out. When all along he had a pair of tickets (good seats in the stalls too) hidden away.

It was amazing, and I had a great time.

I love my boyfriend so much. :-)
