I think I love Coral Lips!

People, I need your thoughts on something!
I think I love this lipstick, I'm quite into the bright lips thing at the moment, and this is Coral from Revlon colorburst.

It's so freaking orangey and bright, but I kinda like it.  Is it too much though?  It is so pigmented, bright and just screams summer.

Let me know your thoughts, I'm not sure if it's 'Me' or not. But I do love the shade!

Thoughts?!

Review: OSiS Refresh Dust + Pump My Curls.

I have an obsession with hair products. I must have a dressing table full of them, it's crazy! But I love trying new things that promise to do new things, and make my hair amazing.

At the moment I am embracing the big natural voluminous look of my hair, rather than using my Cloud 9's. You may have seen me say it before, but my hair is curly, frizz prone and I have lots of it.

I was sent the two products above to try out, and I'm very excited by them both, they are perfect for my curly hair, plus I absolutely love the Schwartzkopf OSiS range.

The Refresh Dust : This is a dry shampoo type product. It is a powder spray that simply makes your greasy looking hair look fresh and revived. It's really a nice product, I love the packaging, it's so sleek and eye catching.

As a dry shampoo it's great, it does what it says on the tin, it freshens your hair up, giving it a new lease of life, and another day or two of not needing to be washed. I personally have a huge collection of dry shampoos and this is a welcome addition. This product is also brilliant as a volume product, just spray at the roots, ruffle your fingers through, and voila! Instant volume.

The Pump My Curls : I am in love with this product, it's brilliant for my natural curls. It's really cool too, it's a spray, but when it is sprayed into your hand or directly onto the hair, it turns to a cream.

It smells lush and gives me big curls that stay in place, it definitely has good hold, but not a hard 'I've got a ton of mousse on my hair' crunchy hold - It's really natural and bouncy. This is my go to curling product at the moment. Just spritz onto damp hair, scrunch and let it dry.

So all in all, a thumbs up from me. I love the OSiS Range. Have you tried anything from it?

OSiS is available from The Hair Supermarket.

- China Glaze Promo Inspired Look.

Hello Everyone!

So lately I've been getting a bit inspired by images of make up, and attempting to recreate them. It's fun to experiment and see what you can do.

I came across the promo image for the China Glaze Crackle Polishes, which you can see here. I love the bright coloured smokey eye make up, and the nails .. the lips however, hmmm.. I was in two minds about those, but in the name of fun, here you go!

Green lips. Yep.       (Long silence)       .. Needless to say, I can't pull them off like she can! I got the shade wrong too, but whatever! I would never have gone out with green lips anyway, They're not for me.

The rest of the look I love, the dramatic smokey eyes with green/turquoise are very me. I used all colours from the Urban Decay Deluxe Palette for them, mainly the green, blue and black, with a hint of purple.

And then..... I wiped off the lipstick, and took a more normal pic!
Better, right? .. I think so!

What do you think of this crazy look? .. You can see the nails I did for the look, here.

- NOTD: Cosmic Violet.

This is quite an old nail of the day that I just found floating around in a random folder. I used a Collection 2000 Hot looks polish (Parma Violet), and Maybelline glitter topcoat (Flash Cosmic).

The said glitter topcoat is weirdly being hyped all over blogs at the moment, which is funny, because when I saw a post on it I thought 'I'm sure I had a bottle of that, years ago' .. and I was right, I rooted through my collection and there it was, Hardly used! (Result!)

It  makes a fabulous topcoat over almost every colour, and the different colour glitter flecks catch the light perfectly! I do love a bit of glitter.

- Get Soft Summer Ready Feet, From Liz Earle.

I was recently sent the foot scrub from the hands & feet range from Liz Earle. I'll be honest, I've never used a separate foot scrub for my feet before, I normally just use my regular body exfoliator for my tootsies too.

Liz Earle Say:
This hard-working scrub gently exfoliates hard, rough skin on heels and soles, leaving feet ultra-soft and buffed to perfection. Massage daily onto damp skin, concentrating on dry areas such as heels, toes and balls of your feet. Naturally active ingredients include natural pumice to remove dead skin cells, softening avocado and wheatgerm oils rich in vitamin E, and the invigorating aromas of peppermint and rosemary essential oils.
My Thoughts:
Firstly the scent is amazing. My first impressions were toothpaste, but not so strong! It has a lovely light peppermint scent to it, which lingers afterwards, like all of the luscious Liz Earle scents. I guess that's the difference between using a normal foot scrub on your feet, and using a specific scrub for your feet. The lovely fresh minty scent will linger from a foot scrub, leaving your tootsies all nice and fresh.
It has quite a thick cream consistency, and the scrubby bits are quite hard, which is perfect for any dry skin on the heels, etc. Just a small blob of this does each foot and with a spash of water it spreads well. The peppermint makes it feel soothing as you scrub and then afterwards, and my feet are always left feeling like I've had a pedicure afterwards. I don't even need to use it every day, my feet stay tip top for few days.

So if you're wanting to get your feet sandal ready for summer, I would highly recommend this product. It's got top spot on my bathroom cabinet for Summer!

Liz Earle's Foot Scrub is available from Liz Earle Stores & Online.

Teeth Whitening Help!

Perfecto!
Helloooo! So clearly that isn't my smile.. But I'm hoping to have something similar soon!

This is just a random short post.. I just wondered if any of you had any advice, tips or products that you can recommend for teeth whitening? I don't have that much discolouration, but I'm the kind of girl that would love a Simon Cowell smile! You know, gleaming white.

I've been to the dentist today for a check up and a scale and polish and been told that I have nothing wrong. This makes me happy, and now I just think that if I could whiten them, I'd be happy!

So that's where any of you may come in? I'd like to know what you have tried, or of any natural home remedies that you know of that work? Give me your tips and tricks! I certainly can't afford the £189/£200 my dentist charges to do it!

Thanks in advance!

- Ninja Crackle!

Current nails were done using the above products! .. I like the Hot Looks polishes, and colour selections, but I find them quite difficult to work with, which is a shame. Ninja is a great colour though, and I persevered with it. I need to find a way of making these work better for me, since I own about ten.

As for the nail effects, still liking the effect on my nails occasionally. It's eye catching. I think I want to try some other colours.
Ninja alone. Two coats.
With added crackle, courtesy of Barry M!

There you have it! :)

— Katy Perry » Last Friday Night (T.G.I.F) Inspired Make up.

Hey Lovelies! TGIF! It's Friday, the perfect day for me to post this look that I did!

I don't normally copy celebrity make up looks, not because I don't want to but because I don't feel like I am good enough to, but I was so inspired by the make up that Katy has on in her latest video, that I decided 'What the hell!' and I went for it! .. It was fun to do, and I just love the 80's inspired bright look and the crazy blush and lined lips.

You can watch the video here!

Ok, So on with my recreation .. I did what I could with what I have. Obviously I don't know what was used to do her look, so I just went with what I thought would be similar.
I tried to pull a crazy eyed expression too, but kind of failed!
So there it is.. I like the bright colours in the look and I would definitely go out like this. I couldn't find my lip liner so mine isn't as defined, but I did use a darker lipstick around my lips. I couldn't find my crazy 80's earrings either - I do have some, somewhere!

- BeautyUK 'Lilac Girl' Nails.

I was recently lucky enough to win a BeautyUK giveaway on twitter, and my prize was 25 nail polishes! Yes, I did say 25.

I will have to do a blogpost on the colours I was sent soon, but for now I wanted to post a nail of the day that I did with one of the colours. This is Lilac Girl, a stunning and unusual shade, kind of purple, kind of blue. I really love it, it looks so summery and bright.

I really like the shade and don't think I've seen anything quite like it before. I decided to jazz it up a bit that I would add a shimmer polish on top, and here is how it looked. I think I prefer it with the shimmer. (I used Urban Decay - Burnout.)

What do you think? :)

Soap & Glory: The Righteous Butter Body Lotion!

*NEW* Jumbo size The Righteous Butter Body Lotion
Super smoothing luxe body lotion. Includes proven skin smoothing fruit acids! Just apply The Righteous Butter™ Body Lotion all over after showering, paying particular attention to your rough spots (like dry heels, dry elbows, and knobbly knees). Leaves skin softer, smoother and more supple! Conditions dry, flaky skin and reduces rough spots (on elbows, heels and knees).

What’s inside that counts?
* Shea butter nourishes the skin with vitamins A, E & F, it helps sooth rough skin and treats skin irritation
* Aloe Vera cleanses & conditions the skin leaving skin as soft as velvet
* New dynamic moisture trap matrix – helps to hold hydration in longer!
* Fabulous fragrance combines a blend of bergamot, strawberries and mandarin, with floral and fruity mid notes and musk, amber and warm vanilla notes on the bottom.

I was sent a sample of this to try out, and I am in love! I am a big fan of Soap and Glory anyway, and their Clean On Me Body Wash is a staple of mine. This is like that, but in body lotion form. It smells the same, which is absolutely freaking delicious!

It is super duper moisturising and a little goes a long long way. I only use a few pumps to do everywhere I want. It leaves my skin feeling really hydrated and smelling amazing.. So amazing that I sniff my arms every now and then to smell the lovely scent... (Erm.. Ok!)

The lotion is quite a thick consistency, but not body butter thick and as I said it spreads a long way, it just melts into your skin in as you rub it in, and my skin feels and looks silky and glowy after applying it.

This jumbo sized pump bottle will no doubt last for a very, very long time and is perfect for all year around. To give you glowing smooth skin in summer, and to keep your body and dry bits nice and smooth in the winter.

This can be purchased in Boots, and online priced £10.

Sudocrem Cream ... In a tube!

I have always been a fan of Sudocrem. You know, the white cream that was always marketed as a nappy rash cream? It's been around for years!.. Well, I can always remember my mum using massive tubs of it for my little sister when she was a baby. If only I had known then what I know now!

In recent years it has been marketed to a wider audience, with celebrities such as Cheryl Cole and Tess Daly saying that they use it as their skin saviour for spots and blemishes. I purchased a tub not long after reading that Cheryl Cole swears by it, a few years ago. I was impressed, it works quite quickly in taking the redness out of a spot and helping it to go down.

So, a while back I got an email informing that Sudocrem is now newly available in tube form. Finally, I thought! I was sent a sample to try out, and I like it. I don't know it if is supposed to be or not (I have been informed by Kate that they are not the same - I should have researched better. The tub is a medicated cream with a license and the tube is just a skincare cream. I couldn't tell.) but to me it's the same cream, but maybe just a tad thicker than the cream in the tub is. For me it works the same and is much easier to use, I absolutely hate sticking my fingers into a tub and getting cream all under my nails, and now I don't have to. I like to have a sudocrem mask every now and again too, when my skin is being particularly awkward - that's where I cover my face in sudocrem and leave it for 20 mins or so.. It looks a little scary but does the trick!

You can purchase this cream from Boots stores, and on the website. It's cheap as chips and does the trick, definitely a must have for me.

Do you use Sudocrem, if so what for?

— My Weekly Faces!

Hey Lovelies!

I had a little idea of posting a FOTD for each day of this week. This won't be a weekly thing because I don't wear make up every single day, but I am currently loving playing and experimenting daily, so I have Monday to Fridays looks.

I hope you like! :)

Monday: This look was done with a Claire's Palette which I got for Christmas from my lovely sister. I just used some blues, and a bit of green in the crease. On the lips I have MAC Pretty Please.
Tuesday: Urban Decay Naked Palette was used for the eyes, and Revlon Fire & Ice lipstick on the lips. I love that lipstick. MAC Peachy Keen on the cheeks.Wednesday: Very simple make up day. I used black mac greasepaint stick, and piled some club eyeshadow on top and into the crease, I love how effortless it is, and how nice that shadow looks. MAC Pretty Please on the lips again, and Boots No17 Peaches and Cream blush.
Thursday: I did this look using my Urban Decay Book Of Shadows Vol 1. I love it! I just used a mix of browns and some black. I love the Mushroom shade in that palette, It is stunning. On the lips I am wearing Revlon Colorburst Lipstick in Fuchsia. Boots No17 Peaches and Cream on the cheeks again.
Friday: Lastly, I was off out for a drink and fancied a bit of colour. I used the Max Factor Experience Foundation here, I really do love it. I also used my Sue Moxley Festival Eyes palette. On the cheeks in The Balm's Hot Mama, and on the lips is Barry M #147 (Peachy Pink).

So there you have it, my week in faces! .. Do you have a favourite?

Aveeno Creamy Oil & Skin Relief Lotion.

I think I have a bit of an addiction to body lotions and body butters at the moment. I seem to have a growing collection going on.. But I just love to slap a bit of lotion on after a bath or shower to keep my skin soft and moisturised.

I was sent these two from Aveeno to try out and so I have been doing, for the last few weeks.
First up, The Creamy Oil: Combines the concentrated goodness of naturally active colloidal Oatmeal and sweet almond oil. Provides the benefit of an oil with the convenience of a cream. Helps to maintain the skin's natural moisture level and prevent dry skin. Skin is left looking and feeling soft, smooth and healthy without a greasy after feel..

This is my personal favourite from the two. It smells divine, very similar to solar oil, if you have smelt it (it is a cuticle oil) .. It has a light sweet almond scent which I love. It feels so good when you apply it, it pumps out of the bottle like a cream, but is a lovely oil when you rub it in. Just a little of this goes a long way, and it soaks in really nicely without leaving you feeling slippery, and the smell lingers for ages. It's really lovely and very moisturising.

Next, The Skin Relief Lotion: Formulated with shea butter and a unique Triple Oat complex containing finely milled naturally active colloidal oatmeal, oat oil and oat essence. Clinically proven to moisturise for 24 hours and soothe on contact, providing immediate, long lasting relief for extra dry, irritable skin. Skin is left looking and feeling soft, smooth and healthy. Fragrance free and fast-absorbing.

This is a great rich moisturiser if you have very dry skin. It is fragrance free so will not irritate the skin. My boyfriend has a problem on his leg, and needs to keep it well moisturised, and this is perfect for that - It soaks in fast without irritating him at all and it doesn't leave a greasy feeling, or any scent.

Both are lovely lotions that are great for dry skin, or just keeping your body smooth and soft. I lilke the pump bottles too, so much less messier than a squeezy tube!

Have you tried either of these, or anything from Aveeno? Both products, and more available from Boots.

.. Fire and Ice FOTD.

Just another face of the day. I'm getting quite good with doing these at the momento!

After advice from a close friend that bright lips suit me way better than pale/nude, I thought I'd get a red lippie out.

On the eyes I used all colours from my Urban Decay Naked Palette, With Eve pearl liquid liner and max factor false lash effect mascara. Foundation is Sleek Skin Revive, and on the cheeks is MAC Peachy Keen. And finally, on the lips : Revlon 'Fire and Ice' .. I love it!

- Eco Tools Make Up Brushes.

Some time ago I was sent the 6 piece Bamboo Eco Tools Brush Set to try out... I have been trying these out for a couple of months, and I feel I can now give them a full and honest review.

The brush set comes in a lovely cream canvas roll with six brushes inside.

EcoTools Say:
This iconic EcoTools set is what started it all!  Whether you want to hide imperfections, define eyes and brows, or create a rosy glow, our set of five beautiful and incredibly soft brushes is the perfect start to your makeup routine. Brushes feature bamboo handles, recycled aluminum ferrules and incredibly soft, cruelty-free bristles.

Set Includes:
  • Blush Brush
  • Eye Shading Brush
  • Angled Eyeliner Brush
  • Concealer Brush
  • Lash & Brow Groomer
  • Hemp & Cotton Case (Room for both brushes & makeup essentials!)
So quite a nice selection of brushes inside, right? .. Well I think this is a lovely little set, which is perfect for on the go, and travel. All of the brushes are top quality, they wash really well and keep their shape. The bristles are synthetic and very, very soft. I am absolutely in love with the blush brush, it's so fluffy and applies blush just perfect. I like them all though, the concealer brush is a nice larger size, which is great for larger areas.

All in all I would give this brush kit a thumbs up. They're natural, good quality and reasonably priced too! What more could a girl want?

Available from Boots.com.

« Clynol's Texture Swirl Curl Definer.

I have naturally curly hair, and occasionally I love to scrunch it and go for voluminous curls, But my hair is also frizzy, so I have to be careful - otherwise I look a bit like a frizzy poodle type thing.

I love trying out new curl definer products. There was one I tried years ago that I loved, But it was discontinued and I've been looking for something as good for ages. This is that product.
The Clynol Texture Swirl Curl Definer is a cream that you put through your towel dried hair, and then you can blowdry it in (this product also protects from the heat) or you can leave it to dry naturally. I choose to let my hair air dry, because heat is bad, especially in frizzy/curly hair.

My hair dries into perfect curly ringlets with this product - I love it! I just make sure to keep scrunching my curls a bit as my hair dries, and voila!
I'm not sure if this would help to curl non curly hair or not, or whether it is just designed to enhance natural curls .. But if you are looking for a good hair curling styling product, I would recommend this.

Available online, here.

- Sunny Bright Glitter FOTD. ♡

I haven't done a face of the day in a long time, so here is one I wore a couple of days ago. I wanted something bright and sunny to cheer me up. I was surprised by the compliments I got on this look - That always makes me happy. ♡

I used my amazing 120 Palette from ebay (Just search ebay for 120 manly palette) for this look. I used the oranges, reds and a bit of brown. For the glitter I used Stargazers UV Orange (I am yet to try this in UV light!). Mascara is Rimmel Volume Max. Lips is Sleek 'Pink Freeze' with Pink Pop gloss from Revlon.

That's all for now!
