Lipsense Lip Colour - It makes sense!

I think I have the best lip product ever to tell you about. If you love amazingly pigmented lip products that last (and last, and last) for hours without needing to be touched up and look totally amazing, keep reading! I first heard about Lipsense from someone on a video of mine I think. I was complaining that these lip stain pens that you get don't ever last or have any pigmentation - one commenter told me about Lipsense and I did some research because I was curious.

I wasn't sure I believed what I was reading at first. Lipsense is a kiss, smudge, eat, drink, whatever you like proof product that lasts for 12 hours... I know, you're thinking that sounds far fetched, but this really (REALLY) does not budge, once it is applied, it's staying put.

Gift Ideas: Frontcover True Colours Palette.

Sorry for the picture heaviness of this post but I really wanted to show off this lovely palette. Meet the True Colours Palette* from Frontcover Coemetics, it is the perfect gift for makeup addicts, or anyone that just loves to wear makeup really, and it would be perfect for someone who is just starting out.

I've never been one for all in one makeup sets really but this is different, it is packaged well and it contains such a great selection of products and they are all good quality.
*Inside The Box*

6 Domed Baked Powder Eyeshadows
5 Satin Pressed Powder Eyeshadows
5 Lip Glosses
1 Cream Nail Polish
1 New Glistening Nail Polish Glaze
1 Eye Pencil with Smudger
1 Double Ended Mascara
1 Rounded Shader Brush
1 Mini Blender Brush
1 Retractable Lip Brush
The baked eyeshadows are lovely and shimmery and can be used wet or dry and they look lovely layered over darker bases.

The satin shadows are a little more sheer but buildable and they work well with a primer. I like the glosses but the annoying thing about them being in the pans in a palette is I can't take them out to touch up my makeup, so I tend not to use them as often - they are smooth and pigmented though.

Both polishes are so gorgeous, the purple glittery one is a beautiful topcoat (I'll have some FOTD and NOTD posts from this palette soon).

The eye pencil is a good pigmented smudgy one that sets into place and doesn't budge easily.

I love both of the makeup brushes so much, the mini blender is a perfect lashline smudger, the shader is like a 239 from MAC and the lip brush is a good lipbrush which has a lid, always a plus in my book!

I can't comment on the mascara as I haven't tried it yet, I have too many on the go as it is.

You can pick this kit up online for £25, they have lots of others too. Frontcover Cosmetics.

- Some Recent Beauty Favourites!

- The Body Shop Vitamin E Moisture Cream - I have gone through this moisturiser so quickly. Usually I chop and change my skincare because I'm always trying something new, but I have stuck with this as my morning and evening moisturiser and it does the trick, nice and simply. It's very lightly fragranced it hydrates my skin and it feels light.

- Fresh Sugar Rose Lip balm - This is the lipbalm of all lip balms. It smells amazing, the tiniest amount will add moisture to your lips that lasts for hours on end and it is full of good oils and vitamins. I really love it, it's a pricey item but it's a luxury to have and I use it in the winter months when my lips are drier. The packaging is gorgeous too!

- Lush Tea Tree Toner - This is a staple of mine. I have spot prone skin (grr!) and this is a good toner for it, it includes tea tree which is a great spot fighter with antibacterial goodness. It's refreshes and soothes my skin without drying it out.

- The Body Shop Tea Tree Oil - More tea tree! I've had a tea tree oil in my products for years as it's great for so many uses.. cuts, new piercings annnnd spots! Yep, it is mostly used on my face, I dab it on any new spot and usually this will stop it from becoming something worse and will dry it out.

- L'Occitane Hydration Face Mist - I was undecided about this product for so long when I first got it but now I love it. It it a fine mist that smells SO fresh and lovely! It is cooling and soothing to the skin, great as a toner or for travel or just to freshen up throughout the day, plus it's very hydrating. I like to spritz it over a full face of makeup, I feel like it makes everything look fresh and glowy.

- The Body Shop White Musk Perfume - This is just a simple, lovely fragrance that I've loved for so long. It reminds me of my Mum which is comforting because I miss her so much.  It's a subtle musky (duh!) scent that lasts well and is great for day and night time.

Japonesque: Safari Chic Bronzer Brush.

I love makeup brushes so much, they are one of my biggest obsessions when it comes to makeup and beauty and I seriously believe that brushes can transform the way you apply makeup. I often wonder how I ever used to apply makeup without brushes, but in my early teens I did!

Anyway, I really like the Japonesque brushes that I've tried so far and this is another addition to my collection. The Safari Chic Bronzer Brush*, or Kabuki. It has the cute little leopard print within the bristles which I think is a cute touch but I know others think is tacky!

It's a great little brush. Densely packed, very soft and it doesn't shed - It washes up a treat too. I can't fault it, I like everything about it, the quality is great. I like to use it for powder all over my face and occasionally bronzer, but I usually tend to use something smaller so I can contour. It's good for mineral foundations too, it buffs everything in so nicely.

Have you tried any Japonesque Brushes?

This brush is available in the UK and the US.

Liz Earle Special Edition Cleanse and Polish.

I am so late to the party on this, but I have been meaning to talk about the Special Edition Cleanse and Polish from Liz Earle for a while now - £2 from every sale of this cleanser will go to the Princes Trust Charity, which is a great charity that helps young people out.

I've been using it for about six weeks or so and have been really enjoying it. It has all the benefits of the original cleanse and polish but with the added rose and lavender oils the scent is even more relaxing and soothing for the skin.

It took me a while to get used to the smell over the original but it is a great option for evening time because the lavender is a really soothing scent at bedtime. The bottle is larger and the packaging is so lovely! It's a shame it's a special edition, I love the pink swirls! ... As with the original cleanse and polish this leaves my skin feeling super clean, soft and refreshed.

If you love Cleanse and Polish I would definitely check this out while you can, it's really special to have and it's great to help out a very worthy charity.

John Frieda Frizz Ease Range.

John Frieda are definitely my favourite hair care brand of the moment their procucts leave me feeling like I've just walked out of a salon and the ranges smell so amazing. Before my ombre I loved the Brilliant Brunette range, but I haven't been using that since I ombred my hair, I opted for the full repair range, which I love!

Recently though, I've been using their Frizz Ease products*. I have naturally curly hair which means I am prone to frizz, especially in this colder, wetter weather. The shampoo and conditioner are just as luxurious feeling and leave my hair feeling super soft and smooth and I did definitely notice less frizz than with a normal shampoo. I also have been loving the heat protectant, it also smells amazing and leaves a shine on the hair as well as protecting it from the heat of hair styling tools.

Do you love John Frieda Products? They are so affordable and I genuinely feel like they do help my hair.

Brighter Nails Instantly!

I have been meaning to get this post up for ages, ever since I first tried this stuff when it came with my Glossybox!

The Alessandro Pro White Nail Polish is desribed as a nail brightener to help brighten the appearance of the nails, as well as cover up unsightly yellowing.

It's basically a clear polish with the slightest blue toned tinge to it. It really does transform dull unpainted nails into nice healthy looking shiny nails. See for yourself...

So the top nail pic is without (obviously!) and then below is with. See how much lovlier they look, they look so healthy and naturally glossy. I cannot reccommend this highly enough. If you are into having pretty nails and want them to look good when they're unpolished, this is for you!

It's not a UK brand and seems hard to get a hold of here, but I did find it on e-bay for just £3.99 with free P+P. A great deal for something that I think this is a must have. Link!

Have you tried this? Do you love it too?
