MAC Shadesticks.

"A smooth and silky, rich and creamy eye shadow delivered in a stick-style format. Provides rich colour overlaid by soft finishes of shine. Glides on: works as a shadow - or a liner. Builds up coverage from sheer."

I have two MAC Shade sticks and thought I would share my thoughts on the ones that I have, and what I think of shade sticks in general. Most of you have them already though, so this might be a pointless post!

Anyway, onto the shade sticks, I have Beige-ing, a gorgeous pale shimmery beige/champagne colour & Sea-me, Gorgeous bright blue, I love blues so much!

They are twist up creamy consistency crayon type thingy-ma-jigs that you apply straight to the eyelid, They both apply really nicely and smoothly, although I do recommended that you roll the pen between your hands a little first to warm it up a bit otherwise it may tug on the skin a little. I personally prefer to use a finger to apply it because it warms the product easier and I can blend it in better.

They have really good staying power too and they last for about five hours without creasing on my eyelids (Longer with a primer). My main use for them is as a base to put other similar coloured eye shadows and pigments on top of, they just really help them stick and look brighter. The two I have are quite pigmented, but for a more opaque colour you can build them up.

That's all! These are available from MAC for £13.

What are your fave shade stick shades?

Face Of The Day : Black Winged Liner.

Gee, I never realised how similar this actually is to yesterdays look, as in the clean lid with blue liner, it must be the 'in' thing for me at the moment, without me realising. I actually did this look a while ago, but forgot I had it to post on here, I did it when I purchased my fluidline cos I was dying to try it out. It's not the neatest cleanest line, but you get the idea, I just wanted to go really clean eyes with nice liner.

· MAC Blacktrack Fluidline
· MAC Jadeye Fluidline
· Maybelline Colossal Lash Mascara

and that is all.. :) I'll try to show you some more interesting FOTD's soon!

Review : Herbalife NouriFusion® Multivitamin Skincare.

"Made with vitamins A, C, and E and skin-enhancing herbal ingredients, the Herbalife NouriFusion™ line combines the best of science and nature to help give you beautiful, healthy-looking skin."

I was sent samples of the Cleanser and Toner to try out a few weeks ago now, and I have been using them religiously since then.

I will start with the cleanser first ..

They Say · Rich yet gentle, these cleansing lotions contain vitamins, nutrients and botanicals which deeply cleanse surface skin and deliver moisture. Use morning and night to get rid of dirt and grime and reveal a clear clean complexion.

The first thing I noticed upon using this was the scent, It has a really fresh citrus smell to it, It comes out of the pump bottle and is a clear gel consistency, It massages and lathers up well on the face and I always use my soap and glory face mitt once I have it lathered up, just so I can really feel like I am getting a deep cleanse. It feels really refreshing when it is on the skin too, That'll be from the tea tree and eucalyptus that is in it. Once rinsed my skin felt super soft and really refreshed.

Now, onto the Toner ..

They Say · Nourifusion Multivitamin Toner can help improve the skin's texture and firmness. Effectively reduces the appearance of pores to help leave skin looking and feeling clean and fresh. Use toner immediately after cleansing - dampen a cotton wool pad with toner and skim over forehead, cheeks and neck, finishing with the crevices around the nose and chin, to remove excess dirt and refresh your skin.

Again, this has a citrus scent, but it's not quite as strong as the cleansers scent. I'm actually quite new to using toners (The only other one that I have used is the Lush Tea Tree Toner which I like) although someone with quite oily skin like me should probably have been using one long ago I just never saw the point if it wasn't necessary. However after using this I have seen the difference it can make, I love how this revitalises my skin!

I use a small amount on a cotton pad and sweep it mainly over my oily areas and then a little over the rest of my face and I instantly feel fresh and clean, It makes my skin tingle slightly which I was a little unsure of at first, but it eases of fairly quickly, I was also a little worried because it makes my cheeks a little red each time I use it, but that also eases after a few minutes and I don't have any kind of nasty reaction. The main thing I notice though, is that it takes away the excess oil on my skin and makes my skin look all glowy, I really love it.

You can buy these from the Herbalife Website, By clicking here.

Review : 2True mascara.

2True is a budget drugstore brand which is sold in Superdrug here in the UK, you can buy any three of their products for five pounds, which is definitely a bit of a bargain. They sell lip glosses, mini eye pigments, eye shadows, blushers, nail polishes, eyeliners and lipsticks.

I have had this 'Instant Length' Mascara for a while now, just sitting in my tub full of Mascaras.. It's not good I'm afraid! 'Instant Length' you say? .. Um, No.. Well at least not for me, It didn't really do anything apart from make my lashes black, It lengthened a tiny bit, but nothing major and it didn't give me any volume, and the worst thing about it is the formula, it may be nice and dark black, but it's wet wet wet, Yes it takes an age to dry and if you sneezed you would be buggered!

The 2True Mascara is not a good one for me personally, but I do like some of the other 2True products.

Have you tried 2True, what did you think?

Bourjois Smokey Eye Brush.

I bought the Bourjois Smokey Eye Brush in Superdrug over a year ago and I definitely think it is worth a mention. It was less that £5.00 and it is so perfect for smoking out eyeshadow and applying colour to the lower lashline. Apparently it is comparable to the limited edition MAC 214, I've never tried the MAC, So I can't really comment, but they do look very similar, don't you think?

The bristles are soft and dense and it picks up a good amount of colour and is a bargainous brush, I wouldn't be without it now, It comes in useful for a number of things.

Do you have this brush, what do you think?

Review : NYC Cosmetics.

*Before I start, I was sent this Make up for for review purposes. I am not being paid nor am I affiliated with the company. My review is completely honest, if you don't believe me, then don't read it!*

Ok So, NYC Make up is not a brand I have ever really used before, apart from for eyelashes and nail polish. So when I was asked to try some of their products I didn't refuse.

Here is what I was sent..

They were very generous and I jumped straight in to try them out when I got them and have been using them for a few weeks now.

I'll start with the eyeshadow kit. I really like the idea of this for traveling, having all the eye shadows you need for a look in a small palette. The packaging is sturdy plastic and inside there is a small eyeshadow applicator/brush thing, which I don't use. The overlay, as you can see, tells you what each colour is for, but of course you can use them however you wish. The pigmentation on the eye shadows is pretty decent, Some are better than others as you will see from the swatches. They are a little powdery when you pick them up on the brush, but if you pat them on they apply smoothly and last well with a primer. I like the dark brown and pink colour on the left the best, The other two were not as well pigmented.

Next up, the lip balm in 'Sugar Baby' .. I was a little put off when I saw the colour of this, but it doesn't apply that bright, obviously. It smells really sweet and has quite a sticky consistency (which I like, as it lasts) It leaves my lips with a nice glossy pinky tint and lasts well, leaving my lips feeling soft. The only think I dislike is the packaging, I hate dipping my finger into things and getting all the goop behind my nails, I guess it's quick and easy for on the go though, if you don't mind sticky fingers. I tend to use it every evening when I prepare my skin for bed, I put this on my lips and go to sleep and wake up with soft lips.

Hmm, the Colour Wheel! I like this for day to day natural make up because it gives a really subtle glow to my cheeks, But it is not very pigmented and I struggled to get a decent swatch without layering it loads (The swatch is about three heavy swipes) It is a nice colour though and I have been wearing it to give a natural pale flush to my cheeks, I just wish it was a bit more pigmented.

Next up is one of my favorite things I received! This is a pigment in the colour 'Champagne' and as you can see from the swatch, it is a gorgeous subtle gold sheeny colour, It is a lovely all over the eyelid colour, or cheek highlight, and I have been using it daily, I have no complaints about the eye dust itself - There is no chunky glitter, it blends well and it looks lovely on.

The PACKAGING however, is a different story, It's stupid! I have two pigments in similar pots from H&M and I hate the way they are packaged. As you can see in the picture, it is a small pot with a hole in which you dip the provided brush into.. Look at THAT brush, It looks ridiculous and there is no way it would apply anything well.

As I have always done with my H&M dusts, I just pour the product out of the small hole and into the lid and use my own brush, then I pour what is left back in when I am done. It's a bit of a hassle, but it's worth it because I love the colour.. I do think NYC should fix this though and just package them in a nice round container with a sifter or something.

Lastly, but not leastly is this liquid eyeliner. I thought this would be a no go as soon as I saw it, only because I hate using the long thin brush type applicators (I should have pictured it, sorry!) to apply liner, but this one is super thin, and after a few practice runs I mastered it! I now love how long the applicator is and how thin the brush is. The liner is a really nice black with a pearly silver grey in it, as the picture shows, It is kind of metallic and makes a really nice change from flat black, I think. It applies smoothly and lasts for hours too, so a definite win for me! I fancy seeing what other colours they do in this liner now.

So, that's all for now, I hope you enjoyed my review. Have you tried any of these products, or anything else from NYC? I would love to hear what you love from them!

HJ Manicure - Nails!

I have had these polishes for ages now and have been meaning to do a review since god knows when, but my nails haven't been looking too great and when one breaks, they all go!

Anyway, These babies are from HJ Manicure, a site owned by Helen, a Manicurist, Make up Artist and Model, She has a large selections of gorgeous coloured nail polishes and she was kind enough to send me a couple to try out.

So, I tried 'R8' and 'Bauble' .. As the name would suggest, Bauble is from a Christmas Collection but is still available on the site. She also sells the mini 5ml polishes like these, but she doesn't yet have a mini of every colour.

Anyway, what do I think? .. Well, I love these polishes, They are true to the bottle colour and pigmented too!

Bauble, as you will see, is a stunning shimmery metallic pink colour, It applies so easily and the brush is a decent size for application, it also dries so quickly and you could get away with one coat of this is you applied a fairly thick layer, which I have done when I have been rushed.

R8 is a very dark gun metal-ish matte (as in no shimmer) grey and I love it, I have been wearing this one quite alot recently, It has a lovely creamy looking finish and two coats is all you need for a pertfect opaque finish, It doesn't dry quite as fast as the metallic polish, but it still dries fairly fast and leaves your nails looking glossy.

Both of these polishes last well without a topcoat (I tried them with and without a topcoat), I think I wore R8 for four days straight with only wearing at the tips. Bauble wore away a little quicker than R8 though, I'm not sure if it's the metallic finish but it didn't last as long and started to chip a little after a couple of days. However, with a top coat (which I recommend anyway) both lasted me about five to six days with no chipping!

[Gorgeous eh?!]

HJ Manicure sells a large range of colours and I love the look of the Summer collection look how gorgeous some of those brights are!

So, what do you think? I love them! You can check out the website here www.hjmanicure.com.

Weekend Makeup Looks!

Hey everyone, I hope you all had a good weekend. I went out on Friday & Saturday night, which was crazy! I haven't been out for ages, then I go out twice in one weekend.

So, I took a few pictures to try and show my make up in a post, but they're not the best pictures, but I think you'll get the idea.

[Sorry it's blurry!] I have Deep Truth eyeshadow on top of MAC black grease paint all over my lid in this one, and then in the crease is the iridescent blue from the trucco palette, It really pulled the look together!

[Still in my PJs here, I hadn't got dressed yet!] For the Saturday night I wanted something different and with a touch of pink for Valentines, So I used L'Oreal 'Real Silver' on the inner corner, Stargazer Pink Eyeshadow on the middle, and Urban Decay Zero on the outer corner.. I really liked how this turned out and got quite a few compliments, which is always good :)

Avatar, I gave in and saw it! [

Towards the end of last year my BF and I went to the pictures a few times and each time the trailer for Avatar was shown, my BF thought it looked good, My opinion was 'bleh' I'm not paying to see a bunch of blue aliens.

However, when it came out I was told by everyone I knew who had seen it that is was amazing and a must see.. I never once heard a bad comment about it, apart from the fact that people had bum ache for sitting for so long while it was on!

So, My BF finally dragged me to see it last week, I say 'dragged' but actually I wanted to see what all the fuss was about. I wasn't excited or expecting much, but wanted to see why people thought it was so awesome.

Well... I fully eat my words about it being some crap about Blue Aliens! I actually really, really enjoyed it! The story is great and not as confusing as I thought it would be (I'm the sort of girl who asks lots of questions if I don't get it - much to my BFs annoyance) .. Anyway, I did get it, and I loved it!

The 3D effects were spectacular, I was completely wowed and kept taking my glasses off my nose to see the difference between the 3D and normal, Did anyone else do that? (Just me then!) The effects really were amazing, and the film was great! I can't see how it will be so enjoyable at home on a small screen though, I guess we'll wait and see..

What did you think of Avatar? Is there anyone out there who didn't enjoy it?

Trucco Angelface Palette. ]

I bought this from Leanne's blogsale a few weeks ago, and as soon as I saw she was selling it I had to have it! I remember seeing xsparkage talking about it on her blog and youtube months ago, and I wanted it then.

It is similar to the new Elf Transformer Palette but it has five colours instead of four.

In the pans the eyeshadows all look like a pale cream colour with some tiny iridescent sparkles in them, and when you apply them over a dark bade they come to life! They are all gorgeous duochromes with lovely colourful shimmery finishes.

Let me show you.. They are swatched here over Blackground paintpot.

See.. Gorgeous isn't it? .. They look great for a smokey eye in the crease with a darker shadow on the lid.. I wore the blue on the weekend and even my BF commented on how he liked the shimmery blue in my crease :)

My Britain's Got Talent Day Out!!..

Some of you will have seen in this post recently that I was off to Manchester for a few days to go be in the Audience for the Britain's Got Talent Auditions, which is recorded to go out on TV when the show starts again.

So, basically you get to sit in a theatre with Simon, Piers and Amanda and watch the acts with them, we got to see about twenty two in total, and were inside for about 4 hrs, or thereabouts.

I was lucky enough to get tickets last year too and it was fab, So I got in early to apply for this year, and I was so pleased when I got accepted. The thing with audience tickets though is that they are not going to guarantee you entry, so you have to arrive early to get a good place in the queue to make sure you get in.

The doors were due to open at 13.15pm (We got in well after 2pm!) on the day we went, and we were in the queue for 9.00am .. Yes, it was a freezing cold day, but we were about sixteen people away from the front of the line, good times!

So, hours and hours of queuing later (5 hours-ish!) and we get to see the judges arrive (you will see pics below). My BF managed to get some cool pics, and I took some on his camera too, we somehow managed to miss getting pictures of Piers Arrival though! It was mega packed, and everyone surged forward to try and get a glance!

Once inside we take our seats (about sixteen rows behind the judges, we were two rows behind them last year!) a comedian bloke comes out and tells us all a few funny jokes, he is actually a funny guy aswell! .. We then wait for the judges to come in, they go onto stage, Ant and Dec come out, so does Stephen Mulhern, everyone screams and goes mad (Especially me, over the Cowell *swoon*) They then take their places and we wait for the Auditions to begin.

We saw some really good talent this year, and definitely a few who I think will make it to our screens, which not all of them will. (I don't remember act names, sadly) So when you watch the show, which will be on TV in April, look out for these : a really funny ventriloquist who uses a member of the audience as his dummy, he had everyone is stitches. Also an all girl choir, they sang a Leona Lewis song and were amazing. A dance troupe called Ice, they were really talented.. a welsh opera singer bloke called Daffyd.. Oh, and the weirdest one of all, yet amazingly good was a regurgitator (?) .. Yep! A bloke who swallowed stuff, and brought it back up, The best thing he did was swallow a Billiard ball, It was amazing, and of course he regurgetated it! Simon told him that if he gets to the live shows that he wants him to do it with a grapefruit, haha!

So, I have gone on enough. We had an excellent day, and I got to see Simon Cowell in the flesh again, So I'm happy. I can't wait for the show to be on TV now!

Here are a load of pics for your enjoyment .. :)(Click on them to see full size)

If you made it this far, then well done!! I hope you enjoyed this post, it took me ages!
