Elf Mineral Eyeshadow...

Hey everyone!

Today I wanted to show you some new eye shadows that I've been loving from Elf. They are loose mineral eye shadows* from their mineral range, and they are 100% natural.  I love loose pigment eye shadows, but I usually don't reach for them that often because a pressed shadow is always quicker, right?

That's not how I've been with these though, the colours I chose are perfect for Autumn/Winter and I've been playing with them quite a bit since I got them. There eye shadows are only £3 each! I am kinda amazed at how much you get and how good quality they are for that price...

Let's take a closer look...

. . Glitzy Nailene Glitter FX.

Today I want to talk to you about these cool glitter puffers from Nailene, they are a perfect way of adding some holo glitter to your nails without having to apply layer upon layer of glitter polish.

I have the silver and the gold and although the pictures I took of swatches are not that great, these really are super sparkly and pretty with holographic particles that really catch the light. The puffer bottle is designed so that you can just puff the glitter out onto your nails.. I have a problem with this, I find the packaging is flawed and the puffer doesn't really perform that well, so I'm hoping to depot them soon so that I can sprinkle it onto the tips myself and control the amount. I find that the puffer just blows glitter around without it actually going where I want.

Another use I love them for is makeup! These make beautiful glitter liner or top coat over an eyeshadow, the glitter is so fine that it doesn't scratch the lid and the multi-coloured particles really sparkle in the light. I don't know if they are actually eye safe, so do this at your own risk.. I never had any problems with it.

So, they're pretty and the glitter is so, so pretty and full of sparkle, I just need some empty jars so that I can empty them out and use them a bit easier.

Available online. They're a great price too.

Healgel Eye. (Brighten those peepers!)

Meet Healgel* (Not heel gel!), my new favourite eye cream. I've been using this for the past.. Well, couple of months I'd say, and I've been loving it.

I love the simple packaging for a start, it's to the point and not overly fancy or feminine.. It almost looks medical, but I like that it gets to the point and tells you what you can expect.  The bottle is a handy little pump bottle and the actual product inside is like a lightweight gel.

I use one small pump for both eyes, dabbing it under and around my eyes with my ring fingers. It instantly has a slight cool effect which feels refreshing on the skin, the lightweight consistency sinks in really quickly and the under eye area is primed and ready for whatever else you want to do.

This smooths, soothes and instantly brightens under my eyes. If I haven't had much sleep and I put this on it has an awakening feeling that makes me look more alive than like a zombie! And over the time I have been using it I feel like it's plumped and hydrated the sensitive under eye area and it looks much brighter now than when I started.

I've tried eye creams in the past that I've just been putting on because they say that they do good things, but I don't always notice any difference. I did with this and that is why I felt the need to post about it. If you want an eye cream that actually feels like it's helping and working, try this.

Heal Eye Gel is available here.

Kimmy Case iPhone Case Review.

I love my iPhone.. I waited for so long to own one, and I never ever thought I would, but I saved up and got a second hand one quite recently and I don't regret it, it's probably the best phone I've owned.

One of my little obsessions with my phone is different phone cases, I love browsing sites for cool and quirky phone cases and I already have a nice little collection of them (mostly bling cases to be honest!).. So when I recieved an email from a new company called Kimmy Case asking me if I'd like to review one of their phone cases, I of course said yes.

I spent a while browsing their selection and finally chose the Arcade Squiggle Pink design. Something about the cute little squares and the different tones of pink just shouted "Pick me!". The phone case came today and I slipped it right on (after my iOS 7 update!) and now it feels like I have a new phone.

The case is really sturdy and fits perfectly. It felt a little tight to get on, but I find that's the norm with a new case - they always give a little though and become easier to slip on and off. The design is really cute and girly and looks so cool on my phone. Another thing that I really like about the case is that it has sections cut out for the phone buttons. I absolutely hate when a case feels a little tight and you have to try so hard when manoeuvring it over the buttons - no such problem with this case. All of their designs are non-fade too, so you have no worries about the edges wearing off like happens with some cases.

What do you think of my new case? ... And if you have an iPhone, what are your thoughts on iOS7?

Thanks for reading! Be sure to check out the Kimmy Case website here!

No more shiny face!

I hate spending ages in he morning creating a perfect base on my face for the day, only for it to get oily after a few hours and for me to have to blot and re-powder my face. It's just the way things always were with my skin though, no matter what I tried, nothing kept me completely shine free for long enough.

That's where the Pur Minerals Balancing Act Shine Control Power* comes in. It sounded good at first glance but I didn't hold out too much hope for it to be honest. Wrong! This product has really, really impressed me.

This powder is a mosaic of sheer and neutral tones, it adds a little coverage to your skin when worn alone, but as a setting powder is how I love to use it. I press this on with a dense powder brush and then buff it out. It does mattify the skin, but it doesn't feel really dry or look powdery or cakey on the skin.

The best thing.. It controls my oil and shine all day long! The first few times I tried it I kept on looking in the mirror (as you do) and was so surprised at how good (and not oily) my face/foundation still looked.

So I obviously love this product, it does something for me that nothing else ever has. It's a tad on the pricey side at £22.50, but if you have oily skin and want to keep it shine free all day, this is worth a try. It has become a staple for me every time I wear makeup now.

Available Here.

Remington Smooth and Silky Epilator.

Hello everyone!

Today I wanna talk about hair removal.. Epilating to be exact (if you hadn't already guessed!).

So, I'm new to epilating. My first time was about 5 or so weeks ago when I was asked if I would like to try out the new Remngton 4 in 1 epilator. I'm not gonna lie, I did a little 'eeek' before hand, I had heard tons of things about these devices of 'tortuousness' and how painful they were.. But I was also very intrigued, so I accepted!

The Remington 4 in 1 epilator has lots of cool features, including that it removes the shortest of hair (0.5mm), can give you up to four weeks hair free, it's washable, it has a little light so that you can see what you're doing, it's corded so that you don't have to keep recharging batteries (this could be seen as a good or bad point, but I like it), it has two speeds and it and 40 non slip tweezers included (ouch!).

Oriflame - Skin Dream BB Cream.

Hey lovely people!

Today I wanted to tell you about a lovely BB Cream* that I have been using over the Summer. This is from the brand Oriflame, which is new to me - it's a really nice product. One of my friends used to work selling Oriflame from a brochure, kind of like Avon, but I never tried anything until now. Browsing their site was fun though, they have loads of lovely things that make me want to buy them!

So anyway, back to the BB Cream. I liked the sound of it from the start, mainly because it was oil free but also that it had SPF in too. This cream has quite a rich texture to it and gives a medium coverage and really evens out my skin.

What I love it how it lasts though, I always wear powder over face products because of my oily skin and this lasted all day for me, looking pretty much as good at the end of the day as it did on application.. my skin stayed matte for most of that, though it got a little more shiny towards the end of the day.

It applies smoothly and the lightest shade matches well with my pale skintone. It gives a really fresh hydrated look to my skin without looking shiny, and it still had a glow beneath the powder that I added on top.

. . I'm not a BB cream expert but I've tried a few and this has definitely been my go-to over the warmer, Summer days.

You can see more about this product here, or see the Oriflame website here.

The Fragrance Shop - Discovery Club Box!

Some of you may have seen my last Discovery box post, but if not, here is a look at the last box!

The idea behind these boxes are that you get six samples of different fragrances to try out, every three months. If you decide you really love a certain scent, you can go get it and save yourself some money on it.. The box comes with a book of £10 off vouchers for the scents from The Fragrance Shop.

The box itself costs £5 every quarter of the year, which is a bargain if you are big on fragrance and like to try out new ones all of the time. It also includes male and female samples. This box had two male samples in it, which my boyfriend enjoyed.

As for this scents in this box. They are all nice and ones that I would use, but the stand out for me was the Alien Aqua Chic, it's so fresh and clean, yet feminine. It is definitely on my Christmas list this year. I can't afford to treat myself to a new perfume yet! (Sniff.)

Do you like this idea? Are you subscribed?  See here for more details.

Hello!

Hey lovely people!

It feels like ages since I've posted anything here... I've been away at my Mum's for two weeks, and although I fully intended on blogging while there, I just ended up spending time with them and hardly using my laptop.

Normal service is going to resume though! I hope you've all enjoyed the Summer. The weather has been good for us, no?!

If any of you would like to see anything specific, please let me know. I have a ton of reviews to catch up on!

Holiday dreaming!

So, I've just returned from a lovely two week break in Plymouth with my family.. I was also house and dog-sitting for them while they went away for a week.

The other night we were all talking about holidays abroad and my BF and I were talking about how we've never been abroad together (I've actually never ever been abroad!). I was explaining reasons why I'd be scared to go on a plane... They scare me, I don't like heights, I'm a wimp.. When I was a kid I always said I never ever would fly, but as I've got older I know that I would if it meant I could go somewhere exciting.

My Mum said how she had always wanted to go on a cruise and still hopes to someday. I agreed with that, I think a cruise would be amazing, just imagining sailing across the ocean on a beautiful boat that has everything you could need on it sounds like bliss. I was browsing Cruises 2014* earlier and dreaming of someday going on one with those that I love. I think I'd love to go on a Caribbean one, or the ones for seeing the Northern Lights! I've always wanted to see those, and I know my BF would too. I think a Christmas Cruise would be lovely too. *Dream!*

So, tell me about your favourite holidays, where have you been? Have you been on a cruise? I'd love to hear your stories!
