Bazza M Event!

WHY does it feel so right to say 'Bazza M' ?? .. lol

Anywhooo, Barry M have now put loads of stuff on their website about the VIP Event that a lot of us girls were invited to last week.

Check it out HERE (I look horrendous in the picture and all video of me :( Yuk!)

In case you're wondering, I haven't done my write up yet!.. I have been very lazy, but I plan on doing a post about it very soon.

Anyway, I'm off for now, But Enjoy!

Barry M 'PINK' Lip Paint Collection.

Barry M have recently brought out a new Lip Paint Collection of four lipsticks in PINK shades for the summer, I was sent two (of my choice) to try out and after using them for a few weeks I feel I am ready to tell you about these babies!

I was sent #146 Dolly Pink and #147 Peachy Pink (Which I suspect is becoming the new #101!)

Dolly pink is just the PERFECT pink, It's bright but not TOO bright and when I look at it it screams 'BARBIE' at me! It is so pretty and can be worn full on for a sexy bright pink lip or you can tone it down a little and wear it during the day. It's texture is very moisturizing when applied, It kind of feels glossy and shiny and I don't think you would need a load of gloss on top of it (I think the feel of it is very similar to #129 Palest Lavender) - This shade is definitely my new fave shade of pink and I will be wearing it throughout the summer with some neutral eye make up looks I think, The focus will most definitely have to be on my 'Barbie' pink lips!
(With Flash / Without Flash)

Peachy pink is fast becoming my new favorite lipstick, I have been wearing it all of the time since I got it with glossy tube #4 on top, It is perfect. To me it's like the #101 with a hint of peach thrown in. I honestly never thought I would pull of a peachy colored lip but much to my surprise it suits me and is pretty much like my all time favorite nude lip (#101), just with some peachiness. The texture of this Lip Paint is also very similar (If not the same) to the Barry M #101 (Marshmallow) lipstick, It is really Matte and very creamy feeling - When applied it needs to be blended around the edge of the lips so that you don't get a line around the lip, but it's certainly not hard work to blend it in, and the results are well worth it. I already have a back up of this (and the glossy tube), That's how FAB it is as a combo.

So there we have it, two mega new shades from the amazing Barry M! Go to www.barrym.com to check them out, as well as the other two new shades (Which I also have and they are gorgeous too!)
They are available online now and will also be available in stores (Superdrug & Boots) From mid-June I believe, Priced at £4.25.

I HEART Barry M Dazzle Dust!

O M G! This Dazzle Dust = LOVE!

So, when I won the Barry M Be a Star competition earlier this year (Shamless plug, for those who haven't seen, click here! I ordered loads of stuff with my prize money, but mainly dazzle and glitter dusts. It is only now that I am coming to the end of trying them all out properly, and I came across this one, #55 = Fig.

Geeeeewhizz! I love love love love it! It makes for a perfect smokey eye over blackground paint pot. It is just the most stunning brick copper red burgundy kind of colour.

I love it, and I wanted to share it with you! If you don'a have it, go get!

Here is how it looks on it's own over blackground.

Konad Nails!

It has finally arrived! .. I cannot tell you how excited I was when I woke up to find it on my doorstep! I immediately made a video and then got cracking on practicing :)

I got the Starter Set (Set C I believe) which includes two image plates (M2 and M3) three small special nail polishes (Red, Blue and White) and the one ended stamper and a scraper. I also got an extra plate (M57).

They can all be purchased at http://www.konad.co.uk and the prices are good! Although I have heard you can buy cheaper (FauxNad ..See what they did there?) image plates on Ebay, which I intend to look at.

So anyway, I decided I would practice with normal nail polish to start, seeing as it was just to test I didn't want to waste my special nail polishes. Using normal nail polish works, but it does take a bit of work to get it right.

Anyway, I'm rambling to much, I will do a proper review once I have fully got the hang of it.

So for now I'll leave you with this. The nails I did today! (The best I have done yet) I used Barry M Matte White with a Claire's black.

*Notice here I messed up on the little finger!*

Getting to know me!

I have seen this TAG on a few blogs and thought I would do it too!..

So, on with the Q's :)

What made you choose your blog/twitter/youtube username?
I think when I signed up to youtube I wanted something to do with makeup and tried 'Ilovemakeup' and things like that, but they were all used, probably because they are such predictable names! (lol) .. Then I thought 'Well I am ME and I love makeup' So I put in 'melovemakeup', and it was available.

What's your actual name?
Sophie

Do you have any nicknames?
Sophster

Apart from the obvious make up / beauty hobby, what other hobbies do you have?
I love going to live concerts and theatre shows SO much. I love music, and I am also into Nails, painting them, extensions. I always wanted to be a nil tech and I still wouldn't mind.. But I want to be a make-up artist more, though I think it would all slot together nicely! Maybe one day.. *Dream*

What do you do?
At the moment I don't have a job :(

What would you like to do?
Be a Make up artist/Beautician. It has always been my dream and I would love to do make-up for Stage shows and TV and celebs. I hope one day it will be possible.

Tell us something embarrassing, but that you love doing?
Hmm, I'm not sure about that one!..

Tell us a little something that we don't already know about you.
I prefer older men and always have. My BF is considerably older than me. Oh, and I love men who dress as women and I love to do their makeup and help transform them!

What achievement are you most proud of?
Nothing, yet. I think I'm a bit of a loser right now :(

What do you most like about yourself?
Erm.. I'm open minded.

What would you change about yourself if you could?
Load of things.

If you could have anything in the world (that doesn't cost any money), what would you want?
To be a makeup succesful makeup artist. That shouldn't cost anything, right? :)

... I TAG you if you are reading this!

Good & Bad Times!

Hey everyone, I hope you are all having a great bank holiday weekend.

I have had a bad week, my boyfriend got made redundant last weds so that is the two of us trying to find work now, and with the current credit crunch and lack of jobs that will not be much fun.

.. But anyway, let's move on :)

My lovely fella knew how much I had been wanting to try the 'Konad Nail Stamping Art' stuff that I have recently seen on You Tube being use by 'Sayanythingbrooke' and 'xsparkage' - I love painting my nails and the Konad way of making your nails look so pretty and professional really appeals to me.

So, My boyfriend said I could place an order and he would treat me .. Yay :D He is so lovely and thoughtful. So yesterday I placed an order and I am so excited about receiving it now! Expect loads of blog posts with NOTD's!
