ACNE : Asprin Mask

I have been trying anything and everything to remove my spots recently! Tea Tree, Witch Hazel, Clearsil Wash and Pads and I also tried the aspirin mask that so many have recommended!

I tried it the first time and got it too runny, but the second try I got it good and thick .. My BF had bought me some honey to use with it too, but I left that part out and used pure aspirin..

I'm unsure if it worked though? My skin felt good afterwards and the next day my spots seemed less sore and red.. Maybe they were getting better anyway, or maybe it was the aspirin? I dunno, Will try it again and see if it has the same affect, I hope so!

SO here you go, to make you laugh, me bare faced with aspirin plastered all over!

Hmm.... Nice!

Fearne Cotton Oscars Red Carpet Look!

For those of you who watched the Oscars red carpet thing on Sky1 with Fearne Cotton, I am sure you noticed her very bright make-up, I did straight away!

So, I figured rather than doing an inspired look by one of the actresses I would do Fearnes look, cos it is so me and it rocks!

Here is a preview :

I love it! .. It is so vivid and just bright and lovely! I did the whole look using the 120 pro palette from ebay which I have had for a while now and not used! Silly really because I was SO excited to have it, and it is amazing!

What do you think?

PS : You can see a rough picture of the Original look on Fearne Here :

I'm a doll, from Tokyo!..

Alright, So maybe I'm not..

But my current nail polish, Tokyo Doll (By Sinful Colours) tells me different.

So, here is my nails of the day pic.. I have actually been meaning to post this for a few days and I am still wearing the polish (Which is now beginning to chip).

I got this is Meadowhall when shopping with Becky, she got the same one. I have to say, I love the shade, but it is a little to bright for day to day, depending on where you go and what you do, but it is definitely eye catching!

All in all it is a great quality nail polish that lasts pretty well and they have some amazing shades on the website, I am deffo going to purchase some more!

Sooo, What are your fave nail polishes?

Acne / Spot Trouble

So, As soon as I hit my teens Acne hit me! I remember looking back at my year 7 school photo from Senior School and cringing like mad, I look like a pizza face, it is gross! I begged my mum not to buy it, but she did! Although she has never had it on display, thank god!

Now, Still, to this day I get spots, no matter what time of the month, they have never really stopped since my teens, OK so they're not as bad as they were then, but sometimes they are.. & When it is 'that time' of the month, they are much much worse.

Only a few weeks ago I had a huge cluster of them on my chin, big bumpy sore lumps.. I hate it and am getting sick of trying to cover them! It is all well and good putting concealer and foundation and powder on, but the lump is still there, I can't make that go away.

So over the past few months I have tried numerous products, clearsil face wash, a witch stick, clearsil deep cleansing face pads, and St Ives blemish wash/exfoliator. The best of those in my opinion is the St Ives and the Witch Stick, but it sill doesn't get rid of them.

So what I am asking you is, do you have or have you had a similar problem, and if so what do you use to stop it, what works? Any suggestions very welcome!

Haul (Pictures!)

As promised, pictures of the products I got in Sheffield on Monday.

Let's begin..

My mission was to find a foundation that matches my skin tone, doesn't make my skin feel more oily than it already is and that gives a good coverage. Before going to Sheffield I had watched a few reviews on different foundations and decided I wanted to try the Revlon Colorstay. So far I am loving it (I have used it twice) It lasts well and covers my face well and it doesn't feel heavy either. Only downside is that it smells like paint!

- -

In Boots the No 17 products were on a 3 for 2 offer so I took advantage of that, I love their stuff, the quality is really good for the price. I got two lovely eye shadows and another of their blushes, which are very pigmented and excellent quality.

- -

I got three nail polishes from Sinful Colours. I have never heard of the brand but Becky had and said it was a popular brand in the US.. As it is I did a goggle search and they have a UK and US website. I paid 2.99 for each polish which is the same price as the site, so I would like some more colours if they're any good.

- -

Becky also suggested a nail polish from the GOSH range which is an amazing shade, it is just sparkly holographic colourfully amazing! .. I actually think the picture does it a little justice.

- -

They have quite a good range of Sleek in the Superdrug and I wanted to try some more so I got a few things from them, Including two of the gel liners, I already have the black one which I love.. I decided to get a white and yellow one this time, I am going to use them as you would a paintpot, as an eyeshadow base. I also got another palette and some of their amazing pigments.

- -

I also purchased a cute little smokey eye brush which is so cute! I know that MAC have recently brought a similar one out and wanted to try it, but this was a steal at under a fiver, and it is fabulously good!

- -

Then on to MAC of course! .. Chrome Yellow Eyeshadow (God I have wanted this forEVER and how amazing will it look over the Zest base from Sleek?!) ..Then I got my first paintpot in Blackground, which I have tried and love! And then Becky had two back to macs and said she only wanted one lipstick and for me to choose another.. I got Snob, a lovely nude pink shade! Thank you Becky! :)

-- -- -- SO that is it.. Other than that I got some nail polish remover, makeup remover, cotton buds and hair bands! *yawn!* .. I had a great day and loved meeting Becky, it was like we had known eachother for ages and great to shop with someone who shares my passion!..
